Board of Directors

Now retired, Todd is a lawyer and was formerly a crown counsel with the Provincial Government.  He has, and continues to be, a Director on various community boards and has a strong passion to see therapeutic intervention services made more widely available in our community.  Todd approaches the work of the board with a legal eye and adds another perspective to the board decision making process.

Wes has held many careers in his life and is currently the Executive Director for the Port Alberni Shelter Society (PASS). He brings a vast experience in serving the less fortunate population in our community and we are thankful he is willing to donate time at CMHA pursuing the same goals that he works towards with PASS.

Mark has been a director at CMHA for a number of years and is a vital link between the board and the members of the Clubhouse, a central CMHA service.  Mark helps the board understand how the work of CMHA affects the community.

 Previously a forestry worker, Greg has a strong desire to be involved in his community in a meaningful way.  His positive and inquisitive attitude acts as reassuring second thought in board decision making.

Michael was born and raised in the Alberni Valley, and spent a number of years working in the forest industry and policing. He recently retired and returned to the valley. He spent a number of years working with people in need, in remote British Columbia communities, the downtown east side of Vancouver, as well as the Whalley area in Surrey. He is a strong advocate for suicide prevention, mental health, and housing services for people in the Alberni Valley.

Darryl has spent over 30 years advancing accessibility and supporting individuals with disabilities through leadership in community and post secondary education. He brings expertise in adaptive technology, policy, and inclusive practice to board governance.
